·      Welcome to Derwood Station HOA No. 2 (DSHOA2)! We are one of three Derwood Station HOAs together representing 499 homeowners. DSHOA2 with its 222 homeowners is located on both sides of Indianola Drive between Algona and Buena Vista near Gude Drive and Crabbs Branch Way.

 

·      If you are thinking about moving into our Community, check out the site map for information about the neighborhood. We are located near the start of the metro Red line and an easy ride into the Washington metro area. Our homes belong to the Richard Montgomery cluster of schools.

 

·      We often share social activities with the other two HOAs and maintain 13 Common Areas (CAs), CA8 (halfway between Indianola and Wapello) contains a tot lot, and a baseball backstop and walking paths. Use of the tot lot is shared with our neighboring HOA to the south. CA2 (east of Buena Vista near Mahaska contains a conservation raingarden and a walking path.

The Crabbs Branch Conservation Landscaping Project in Common Area 2 (near Buena Vista Drive and Mahaska Drive) was completed in 2018.

Two 6-foot Soccer Goals on Common Area 6 (all the way down from the Tot Lot to Wapello Way) were moved on July 30, 2021. The soccer goals will be moved periodically as authorized by the Board of Directors to help repair turf damage from soccer activity. The goals should only be moved when authorized by the BOD.
